Day 2:
Today you will play Royal Lytham & St. Annes. World renowned for its difficulty, this course is considered the most difficult of England’s championship courses. The rich history includes such honored tournaments as the British Open, and has crowned such champions as Bobby Jones, Gary Player and Seve Ballesteros. Founded in 1886, this course is in the rotation of courses that host the British Open as well as many other championships throughout the years. Regularly in the World’s Top 100 by Golf Magazine. Non-golfers may wish to visit the wonderfully mountainous Lake District to the North. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 3:
Play today will be arranged at Royal Birkdale. A great English course that looks out to the Irish Sea, this course has hosted more tournaments in the last half century than any other course. Past British Open winners include the likes of Tom Watson and Johnny Miller. The massive sand dunes create a challenge fairway shot that allows little room for error in approaching fast undulating green. Regularly in the World’s Top 100 by Golf Magazine. Non-golfers may wish to visit the exciting city of Manchester, and cheer a local football match. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 4:
Royal Liverpool awaits all challengers today. Also referred to as Hoylake, this great course has welcomed golfers to 10 previous British Opens. The course is the second oldest links course in England, and is well regarded by past British Open champions such as Peter Thompson. Although the course is less known for the landscape, winds are a factor that provide a measure of difficulty not found in many other courses. Regularly in the World’s Top 100 by Golf Magazine. Non-golfers may wish to or explore Liverpool, the home of the Beatles. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 5:
This afternoon’s game will be played at Hillside Golf Club. This demanding links course serves as a qualifying course when Royal Birkdale hosts the British Open. The treacherous winds demand precise shot making, and the numerous natural hazards can play havoc with scoring. On a distinctive note, the numerous pine trees are an unusual sight, but causes many varying lies if one’s ball is wayward. After golf, drive to the wonderful suburbs of London. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 6:
Today you will play Sunningdale, a spectacular inland course masterpiece located in the Surrey countryside. The creation of “undulations” for greens began on this magnificent course, and required long and accurate approach shots assure a challenge to the most accurate golfer. The scenery is stunning with beautiful pin and silver birch trees. Regularly in the World’s Top 100 by Golf Magazine. Non-golfers may wish to continue their exploration of London, and visit The Tower of London and Big Ben. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 7:
Play today will be arranged at Walton Heath. Walton Heath is perhaps the finest example of heathland golf worldwide while appearing regularly in the World’s Top 100. The Old Course is a perfect mix of a typical seaside links course and inland golf. The Old Course has hosted many prestigious championships and events, such as the 1981 Ryder Cup, several European Opens and New World Match Play Championships just to mention but a few. Upon completion of your round of golf, leave for the London airport or extend your trip with additional golf arranged by our staff.
