This afternoon’s game will be played at Royal County Down. One of the world's greatest golf courses, Royal County Down follows the curve of Newcastle Bay in the shadow of the Mountains of Mourne, and is arguably the toughest in Ireland. The front nine is certainly among the best in the world, and the 9th is one of the most powerful golf holes anywhere. Many devotees of the game consider the first 13 holes close to perfection as a course layout can achieve. Consistently rated in the World's Top 5. Non-golfers may wish to visit St Patrick’s grave at County Down. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Golf play today will be arranged at Royal Portrush Dunluce. The Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush Golf Club ranks amongst the world’s greatest courses. Regularly voted in the top 10 in the world by Golf Magazine, it is a masterpiece of golf course architecture. Unimaginable rough and testing greens combined with the unpredictable weather of the roaring North Atlantic make this course an admirable test for even the most seasoned golf aficionado. Non-golfers may wish to drive the A1 as it snakes along the cliffs along the rugged northern Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Portstewart awaits all challengers today. A qualifying golf course for the British Open when held at Royal Portrush, this excellent links golf course offers difficulty when the winds howl and the fairways rolls aggressively toward the deep rough. Hugh sandhills are present on seven difficult holes. The spectacular scenery of the beaches and nearby countryside causes one mind to wander, and a loss of concentration will result in a high scoring round. Non-golfers may wish to visit the nearby village of Bushmills, home to the famed distillery of the same name. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Today’s game will be at Castlerock. Castlerock is a classic links course set amid towering dunes. Situated on the Causeway coast and only a 20-minute drive from both Royal Portrush Golf Club and Portstewart Golf Club, Castlerock is a more than worthy neighbor to both of these great Irish links. A superb layout planned to equal those at Troon, North Berwick and Sandwich. Castlerock is rated as one of Ireland’s finest links courses and has hosted many National Championships both Amateur and Professional. Non-golfers may wish to visit the exciting city of Londonderry. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
This morning’s game will be contested at Ballyliffin Glashedy. Flanked by rolling hills and mountains on one side and by the Atlantic on another, the Glashedy Links features dramatic elevation changes throughout. The layout has undulating greens and rolling fairways that twist and roll beneath the towering dunes. The golf course is most notoriously known for the enormous, peat-riveted bunkers that are treacherously situated around the greens and fairways. Non-golfers may wish to visit the Giants Causeway. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Prepare for the challenge of Ballyliffin Old. The Old Course is a lengthy layout that is routed below the hillier section of the property, amongst the plentiful dunes. The golf course is most famous for its rumpled fairways. Golfers will be hard pressed to find a flat lie on this course; it is often difficult to find the ball from even just a few feet away. Relentless winds off of the Atlantic sweep erratically through the course, adding yet another challenging element. Non-golfers may wish to visit Dunluce Castle. Upon completion of your round of golf, leave for the airport or extend your trip with additional golf arranged by our staff.
