Sample Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrive San Jose del Cabo International Airport. A short drive to arrive and check into a hotel that has been arranged for you according to the class of hotel service requested. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you deem fit, a suggestion may be to tour the exciting city of Cabo San Lucas, the fishing capital of Baja. One may wish to arrange a boat rental and catch a marlin and swordfish. For the avid golfer, and additional round of golf can be arranged for your enjoyment. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 2:
Today you will play Cabo del Sol (Ocean). A Jack Nicklaus signature course, this demanding test of golf has 1.5 miles of oceanfront holes. Considered by some to the most challenging in Los Cabos. Plenty of arroyos, sand traps and other obstacles make golf course management a necessity. Of the nearly two miles of spectacular ocean frontage, 1.5 miles of it is devoted to holes 6, 7, 8, 16, 17 and 18. Golf Digest rated in excess of 3,500 golf courses and placed Cabo del Sol as one of the top ten public courses in the world. Non-golfers may wish to visit the beach and swim, snorkel, scuba dive or take a taxi to Lover's Beach. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 3:
Play today will be arranged at Palmilla. Another Jack Nicklaus signature course, combining the unique blending of desert and sea, this course is one of the world's truly picturesque golf destinations. The Palmilla 3-nine hole golf courses are of traditional Mexican design with the Arroyo Nine, back Mountain Nine, and the Ocean Nine. On the Ocean course, every hole has its own view of the shimmering, electric blue Sea of Cortez in the distance. The last of the Arroyo holes are considered three of the most spectacular holes in the world. Diverse in length and enhanced by several water and sand hazards, the Mountain holes are as beautiful as they are challenging. Non-golfers may wish to explore the desert, or climb 7,000 foot La Laguna mountains in the area. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 4:
Cabo Real awaits all challengers today. This magnificent Robert Trent Jones Championship golf course was the site of previous PGA Senior Slam Tournaments. The course is a classic design laid over more than 7,000 yards of verdant landscape with three oceanfront holes. A picturesque and diverse course, Cabo Real features rolling fairways with strategically placed bunkers on narrow terrain. The first six holes are in mountainous terrain, with hills and valleys stretching into the surrounding Sierras; others are nestled near the beach. An inspiring view awaits you from each of them. Non-golfers may wish to visit the historic city of San Jose del Cabo. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 5:
This afternoon’s game will be played at Puerto Los Cabos. This resort, featuring three distinct courses designed by two of the sport’s most legendary figures, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus.
All three courses are championship layouts, perched above the Sea of Cortez and etched into rolling desert foothills and backdropped by the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. The views from the course are unparalleled and showcases the rare combination of beautiful desert and pristine coastline, which is only found on the majestic Baja Peninsula. The Norman Course, a 3,590-yard, par-36 signature design has over 400 feet of elevation change. The Nicklaus I Course, a 3,758-yard, par-36 signature design by Jack Nicklaus, features rippling fairways, undulating greens and sculpted bunkers. The Nicklaus II Course, a 3,436-yard par-36 signature design emulates the original Nicklaus I Course with subtly contoured greens, large sculpted bunkers and dramatic elevation changes. Non-golfers may wish to rent a sailboat or powerboat and visit the many coves and secluded beaches. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 6:
Today you will play Cabo del Sol (Desert). This masterful Tom Weiskopf design is an inland layout with 180-degree views of the sea from nearly every hole. Golfers have marveled at its melding of desert and ocean, with canyon-like arroyos that are as awe-inspiring as they are challenging. The design takes advantage of natural river washes, subtle changes in elevation and dramatic bunkering. The undulating greens also makes the Desert Course a distinguished piece of the Cabo del Sol golf experience. Non-golfers may wish to explore the desert by renting a motorbike or ATV. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 7:
Play today will be arranged at Club Campestre.Tucked in the rolling foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, the Nicklaus Design golf course at Club Campestre is the centerpiece of a 550-acre master-planned community. The layout’s verdant fairways, chiseled into sloping desert terrain, offer players fine views of the Sea of Cortes. Vast sandy waste areas, big flashed-face bunkers and sinu-ous arroyos snaking across the fairways call for careful course management. The true character of the golf course lies in Campestre’s undulating, multi-tiered greens, which are among the most liberally contoured putting surfaces in Los Cabos. Upon completion of your round of golf, leave for the San Jose del Cabo International Airport or extend your trip with additional golf arranged by our staff.
