Sample Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrive Malaga, Spain airport. A short drive to arrive and check into a hotel that has been arranged for you according to the class of golf holiday package hotel service requested. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you deem fit, a suggestion may be to tour the exciting city of Marbella Old Town. For the avid golfer, an additional round of golf can be arranged for your enjoyment. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 2:
Today you will play golf at Torrequebrada. Designed by José Gancedo Gomez and opened in 1976, this course has played host to the Spanish Open and many more first line tournaments. The golf course has plenty of trees and bushes, with water and numerous strategically placed bunkers affecting six of its holes. This Spain golf course is extremely hilly, and commands spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Non-golfers may wish to visit the beach and swim, snorkel, or scuba dive. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 3:
Golf play today will be arranged at Los Naranjos. The orange tree has been profusely used on this course which is located in Marbella's golf valley. It has hosted important international competitions, so it has required constant renovation that has created a more demanding course than originally contemplated. Its 18 holes are set in broad sweeping fairways with gentle slopes. This Spain golf course is difficult and one needs long accurate shots to comply with each holes unique requirements. Non-golfers may wish to witness a bullfight. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 4:
Sotogrande awaits all challengers today. Opened in 1964, Sotogrande golf course is still voted amongst the top ten golf courses in Europe. Known as Sotogrande "Old" to differentiate it from its younger neighbor Valderrama Spain, the Robert Trent Jones golf course is a private club but visitors are welcome. Sotogrande boasts well-established vegetation with pine, cork oaks, eucalyptus and palm trees. Water hazards play an important role here. Sotogrande is one the best courses on the continent, complemented with its magnificent yacht harbor and its polo installations. Non-golfers may wish to arrange a trip aboard a yacht. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 5:
This afternoon’s game will be played at Valderrama. This outstanding course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is a skillful and challenging combination of fairways, nearly 100 bunkers and raised putting greens. Golfing journalist have twice given this course the award of best golf course in Europe, and Golf Magazine has ranked the course #78 in the world. The Volvo Master tournament has been held here annually since 1988, bringing together the world's leading professional golfers. The course was the site of the 1997 Ryder Cup, and is world renowned for the spectacular scenery as well as the difficult greens. Non-golfers may wish take a boat ride to Gibraltar. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 6:
Today you will play golf at La Quinta. La Quinta is one of the most attractive golf complexes in the Costa del Sol. Manuel Piñero and Antonio Garcia Garrido designed the golf course in Marbella's majestic golf valley. The golf course call for accuracy and stamina, its fairways are wide but the deep bunkers wait for a wayward approach shot to the greens. The eighteenth, with a lake in the middle of the green is a challenge to even the most experienced players. Non-golfers may wish to explore the Spain mountains by renting a motorbike of ATV. Overnight at your golf vacation hotel.
Day 7:
Play today will be arranged at San Roque. Designed by Dave Thomas, on the initiative of British champion Tony Jacklin, this is a long course with broad fairways. The first half of the course is of the "woodland" type, while the second offers many water obstacles. Amid breathtaking scenery, the course winds its way through a multitude of different landscapes, from valleys of cork oaks and bubbling streams to open meadowland. Upon completion of your round of golf, leave for the Malaga, Spain airport or extend your trip with additional golf travel arranged by our staff.
